Description
Sound engineers use split systems when audio signals are to be split between several receivers (usually mixing consoles).
A typical case is that, for example, a microphone signal is to be made available for (1.) a FoH mixing console, (2.) a monitor mixing console and (3.) external pickup by broadcast or recording systems. – Depending on the number of split paths, this is referred to as a 1-in-2 split, or as in the above case, a 1-in-3 split.
The Atelier der Tonkunst offers both the simple mini splitter made of aluminum (usually 1 input, 2 outputs) and large rack systems made of stainless steel with any number of channels.
